This piece depicts the muse ruminating on the conflicting nature of deciding whether to sever a connection or figure out different ways to rekindle it. The colour palette, which includes blues and greens, was chosen because I wanted to give the aura of calmness, security, and, in contrast, sadness to put focus on the muse's turbulent body language and facial features—a direct mirror to the latter's state of mind.

There are other aspects of this piece that illustrate the intended aura of confusion and agitation, including the abstract stroke patterns and the subject's heartbeat rhythm pattern.
